It is my believe good designers keep evolving and finding new ways to challenge themselves. That’s what I strive to do.
My academic background is mainly film based, having studied theatre and film in London. I believe my background as a performer has helped me control my body and language to a point where public speaking feels natural to me as well as helping me develop a deep understanding of the importance of empathy: Performers live and die from empathy, if you cannot empathise with your characters, their needs and wants, what makes them tick, you cannot portray them truthfully. I try to apply empathy to all the work I do, both towards the users as well as to my clients and colleagues. Working as part of a theatre company or film production has taught me about the importance of micromanaging teams, sprint working and budget management and my background studying at a german school taught me about discipline and the importance of detail oriented work.
It was after moving from London to Madrid that I discovered my passion for creating user conscious designs that can not only help in the overall experience but, hopefully, make meaningful changes in their lives. I like focusing my projects on the human aspect of UX/UI design; the challenge of catering for the majority of users of a project, without neglecting the needs of a possible minority that needs representation.
I'm looking to work in an environment that will allow me to grow, show my potential and have an impact onto the world.
